Love and Monsters (2020)

Love and Monsters was my first horror-comedy project, and it became an enjoyable opportunity to animate creatures of all kinds, and do some fairly complex compositing work for our postvis shots. It was the second film I worked on with Technicolor/MPC, and our small team became a valued asset for the filmmakers, who had an increasing reliance on us to power through dozens of bluescreen-heavy plates across several sequences. There was one sequence in the film that was almost on the chopping block, but our team's work was timely and effective enough to turn the shots around in time for a test screening, where it received high scores and ensured it would stay in the final film. Another notable trait of the film was that it was my first release in the at-home paradigm of the COVID lockdown.
