Paint By Tunnels Video (2023)
Client: Maple Valley Creative Arts Council
Role: Videographer, Editor, Producer
Time on project: August 2023
In the Summer of 2023, the Maple Valley Creative Arts Council (MVCAC) led a "Paint By Tunnels" community project to repaint one of the local walking trail tunnels in a fun and whimsical style with the help of volunteers. They hired me to produce a video for the web that showcased the project's impact. In addition to wanting to include lots of footage of volunteers so they could remember the event well, I also featured an interview with the project lead to get her take on how it all came together. It was important to me that it feel bright and fun and family-oriented.
Working part-time over two weeks and staying within their budget, I shot using a camera phone, edited, and made graphics and provided it to the client to upload to YouTube for the client to cross-post to Facebook and other socials. MVCAC introduced it at their fundraising dinner to a great reception and were very pleased with how it represented the fun event and informed the community about how the project all came together.
"Just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate you and all the work you did on creating our new Paint By Tunnels video!"
